Last night, we made Yakoyaki by ourselves for dinner! Takoyaki s a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, ponzu, mayonnaise, green laver (aonori), and katsuobushi (fish shavings). Ta-da! This is Takoyaki. Looks yummy, huh? ;) They really are delicious! Sauce and mayonnaise on.Mmm <3 These pictures make me hungry again lol.
My mom pouring dumpling paste into the Takoyaki pan.
It's supposed to be octopus but we also used shrimp. And add more vegetables.
After a couple of minutes, turn all of these over with some thin sticks.

Dane!! We mainly had them with Dashi (a fish broth) but sauce and mayonnaise one was for sure great! (At the top of this page)

I put some of nutella in it. It was like cream puss thing haha!
If you would've been here, you'd definitely liked them all! When you have chance to come to Japan, Pleaaaaase try Takoyaki!!
