Return Home for 2 Weeks

I returned home for exact 2 weeks in January. Surprising my mom that had no idea that I'd ever come back was a plan. :)

On 14th January, Frankfurt Airport, Jan in his uniform and I walked up to the check in counter and his friend who always checks me in took care of my baggage and seats. Yes seats. She gets me extra one or two seats next to mine and blocked so that I can lie down to rest ;) 

The flight was nice but I couldn't rest for even 30 minutes. 

After I went through the immigration, picked up my suitcase, said goodbye to Jan, I met one of my best friends, Mike that came all the way to Narita Airport to pick me up. 

He carried my suitcase and we got on the express train back to Tokyo. What a joy. We enjoyed our reunion and endless chat until he saw me off from a taxi right in front of the door of my mom's apartment. 

I tried to keep lifting the suitcase from the ground not to make the noise of rolling and unlock the door with my key as if either my brother or sister would do it and saw my mom was standing there with BIIGG opened eyes. 

She literally froze for a second recognizing that was really me (lol). I heard her taking a big inhale and not exhale (you know what it's like) and suddenly her eyes filled up with tears. 

"WHYYYYY" and cried on my shoulder, mixed with laugh. 

This is a beautiful thing. 

So this is how my stay started.

Summer has passed and so has Fall. 

It had been one of best times I've lived and couldn't be replaced.

I got to meet so many people and worked with them. My work has been keeping me from blogging for a long time and I'd even forgotten to have it. 

But this is one important place of my life where I've left memories and news that affected my days in a both good and bad way. 

As I'd been away from here, I gathered all photos I took during this Summer and Fall.

今年の夏ももう過ぎ、秋も深まって冬もすぐそば。

今年も生きてきた中でかけがえのない時間になりました。国、人種問わずたくさんの人と出会えたし、仕事もしてきました。

忙殺される日々の中でブログって存在すら忘れかけてたのてすっかり放ったらしになってしまいました。しばらく載せていなかったので、載せられるだけの写真を載せたので、見てくださいね。

Anytime Fitness

Today I finally got to join a gym after moving to new place. 

I'm excited and energetic! 

They're opened for 24 hours and obviously, no excuse. 

Kick your ass off the sofa and burn for Summer ;)

New Hair

On 3rd, May I've gotten my hair cut. 

Haruka (younger sister) had her birthday on 22nd April and Shogo (younger brother) had 4th May we decided to have their birthday party on this day. 

Haruka brought her boyfriend here.

はるかが4月22日に、将吾が5月4日に誕生日だったのでこの日に合わせて誕生日会をすることに。

はるかは彼氏も連れて来てにぎやかで楽しい午後になりました。

How have you all been? I haven't made any post here since November and been absent. 

I couldn't catch up anymore but I wanted to share some photos of how my life's been. 

My work's been crazy as hell but I'm enjoying my life more than I have ever done.

One Saturday with cool people ミートアップ!

On 22nd. Nov. I met up with Thales for some new books to study. 

It is because he went to University in Canada, lived nice long enough to get used to things in French, he can understand what's written and what people say in French. 

He has however officially started to study the language, and so have I. 

This time we wanted to get some books to study and our goal is to talk in French as we did in English.

When we met as we were in high school, sure we talked in Japanese but now, reunion after his return from Canada, we talk in English. 

I'm sure we'll talk in French near future. 

22日土曜日にタレスと勉強用の本を一緒に探すべく会いました。

彼はカナダの4大卒業して、フランス語圏にいい期間住んでたのもあり、だいたい人が何言っているのかとか読んで何が書いてあるのかは既に理解できるんだそう。(もうこの時点で引き離されてるw)

でも最近本腰を入れて勉強を始めたそうで、じゃ一緒に本探そうっていうことになり新宿で再会しました。こうして一緒に高め合える友だちっていいですよね。

今回、二人でちょっとした目標を立てました。笑 いつかフランス語で会話しようって。

高校生の時に出会った時から専門学校時代はもちろん日本語でしたが、彼がカナダから戻って来て6年ぶりに再会してからはずっと英語です。

だからフランス語で会話も出来るはず!

2 years have passed since we officially married. He was at my place. We celebrated the anniversary.

Thank you for being caring, kind, you to me.
Only in front of you I can be real me and show myself 100%.

Workaholic? ワーカホリック?

Already 2 weekends ago. I can't believe how fast time flies. 

On 14th., 15th., and 16th. November, we had the biggest events of the year welcoming the founder of our company and his scientists who support our products for pre opening of its international subsidiary of Japan, not just Japanese branch. That is such an honor. 

We had a reception party on 14th., the biggest, most important one that is a convention on 15th., and on 16th., a leader training to accelerate our business and boost their motivation. 

Despite months of preparation, unexpected happenings and unpredictable requests from VIP guests which are from Germany made us run in the party and convention halls, drive back and forth between our office and the event buildings by taxi.

もう2週間前。時間の経過の早さには驚きます。

今月14日、15日、16日にドイツから創立者と彼率いる我が社の科学者たちを迎え今年の最大行事が開催されました。

日本に、現在の日本社としての形でなく、国際部としての会社をオープンしようという計画が現実化してきていて、それをお祝いし、今後のビジネスをより加速すべく創立者たちが講演会をするものでした。

初日の14日は前夜祭といった形でパーティが渋谷であり、15日はコンベンション、16日はミーティング。私たちスタッフは何週間も前から開催、イベント経営の準備をしていましたが、実際当日になるともちろん予期せぬこともバンバン起こりますから会場内走り回ったりオフィスと会場のタクシーでの往復は避けられませんでしたね。

Next Stop: France 次のターゲットはふらんす語

I've decided to learn French as my 4th language. My English and German aren't perfect yet and I still have to work on them to improve but learning French has been one of my dreams.

When I made a trip to Paris, I fell in love with everything there immediately. 

My goal is to be able to speak 6 languages and I am sure I would make it. 

I can see myself speaking French and take a walk on the street in Paris again. 

Whether or not it was a coincidence, 2 weeks ago my friend and I got together at her place and saw pretty cafés and shops that looked similar to ones I saw in France. 

Wish I had enough time to take more photos of them but we were busy chatting to catch up with the blank of 2 years. 

I met her when we were both 21 years old at a call center where we worked. She was my coworker and we kept in touch. 

4つ目の言語にフランス語を選びました。英語もドイツ語もまだ勉強が足りないし上達しないといけないけど、フランス語はずっと憧れてたのでついにスタートしました。

2年前にパリに行った時に一瞬で全てのものの虜になってしまって、でも語学学習には手をつけていませんでした。

私の目標としては母国語の日本語も入れて6言語話せるようになること。大丈夫、話せてる自分が想像できるから実現する。

フランス語を話しながらパリの通りを歩く自分の姿が見える。んんー！まだ全然話せない自分がじれったいけどワクワクする！

Date and Meet in Crazy Days つかの間のデート

I forgot to take a photo of us. One day we got to have some time together and a day off. 

Fortunately Jan's day off and my weekend matched that time and we were in need of having some relaxing time before he had to fly back. 

A restaurant we found for dinner was one serves Hawaiian food. 

I'm always in love with Hawaiian style rooms and its exotic interior items. I couldn't stop imagining my ideal room (just one of options) with all that. 

食べもの写真ばっかり撮って自分たちの写真撮るの忘れちゃいました。

先日、幸運にも週末とじょんのフライトのオフが被って久しぶりに(ほぼ)丸一日一緒に過ごせました。

もっと寝ていたいところだけどせっかく彼がいるのにもったいないのでお出かけ!

一日ショッピングモールを歩き回って夕飯に見つけたレストランがハワイアンでした。

初めて来たけど雰囲気は良かったのでここでいただくことに。

ハワイのインテリアって私はいつもすごく惹かれてしまって妄想が止まりません笑

ご飯も美味しくて楽しいひとときでした。

People who you'd keep in life ずっと大切にしたい人たち

I got to meet two of my best friends for the first time in 7 years in Takadanobaba, Tokyo!! 

The guy next to me is my school mate who I got to know when I was 16 (and so was he) in high school at trial enrollments of the collage that we graduated from. 

After the graduation he studied and finished the University in Canada and came back here to work.

In my opinion he must've been one of hardest worker in the school. I was "panting" over my assignments and dying studying but he was always going ahead. All efforts he's making that I take my hat off to. 

And the guy behind us is a professor from Kansas who taught us economics and American history in collage time. 

He'd made best classes with a lot of humor over years. There are thousands of "fans (we)" of him.  

高田馬場で7年ぶりにこの二人に会えました!

私の隣にいるのは高二の時に専門の体験入学会で知り合い入学、卒業したタレス。

卒業後彼はカナダの大学に行き卒業してから日本へ帰国し仕事をしています。

学校一くらいの勉強家でいつも彼の努力っぷりには脱帽です。

私たちの後ろにいるのは経済学と米国史を教えてくれていたカンザス出身の先生。厳しいながらもユーモアたっぷりの授業でほんとに彼のクラスは笑いで溢れてました。

Days Spinning スピニング デイズ

I'm making a blog post again in my kitchen, on Saturday morning, without the light on while Fall breeze cross the rooms.
It's been insanely busy at work, better yet it keeps on getting busier. It only gets busier each day.
I wake up at 4:30am and at earliest I come back home around 10:00pm but actually a few minutes before 11:00pm since last Monday. So every Friday night I feel like my body is flying in the air or just numb. 
It's because where I'm living right now is Kanagawa and my office is in Roppongi, Tokyo, I know it's freaking far and it takes 1:45 train ride on each way. But I reeeeaaally wanted to work in this place and at this company. So it's totally fine for me.
I know it couldn't be better that we're busy. Our business is getting bigger and bigger and days go by quickly like a racing car that wouldn't stop. Or I should say that it's like a jumbo airplane taking off and flying up into the sky, like our CEO describes.
I find myself becoming a part of the body of our company, having more responsibility and capability, and appreciation for what I've done. 
I see the reason I want to work here and work with them…and endless motivation for our growth.
There is even no shadow of fun that I had in Germany like a small trip, sightseeing, enjoying food stuff like that but I have another kind of fun here that's unreplaceable. Self investment, I'd say :)
One of them is going to gym that I stared since August. I can't come to the gym during the weekdays so every weekends are my training time. 
The purpose I decided to start it is not only I want to have a strong body for tough days but I want to look great for opportunities to meet CEO and his people from Germany and to be in an international congress or business trips that I will start to have. 
Some people say/used to say that how you look isn't important but it is very important nowadays. The first impression is determined over 80% by the first 1.5 seconds,  you know. You have only one body in life so you should take care of it :)
I maybe don't look in a great shape yet but I'm working on it.

また私は土曜日の朝、キッチンで、電気は着けずにブログを書いてます。秋の風が部屋を通り抜けていくのが気持ちいい。
ここ数週間はこれ以上にないくらい忙しくて、というよりも忙しくなる一方で金曜の夜になると自分の色んな部分がどっかに飛んでってるような気分になります。
毎朝4:30起きで帰宅は早くて22:00。でもほとんど23:00ギリ手前くらいです。
今住んでる場所が神奈川なので六本木に通うことが若干無謀なんだけど、どうしてもここで、この会社で働きたかったから、それはいいんです。
本社のビジネスが日に日に大きくなっていて忙しさも比例して、それに付随する問題も出て来るけど、確実に自分は会社の一部になってきてるし、任されて感謝されることも増えて来てるから一日の成果も大きくなってます。
会社の毎日も、自分の成長も、例えるならレーシングカーがどんどん加速してるイメージ。や、CEOが言うように、テイクオフして上空に向かう飛行機がピッタリかも。
こんな毎日なのでドイツにいた時のような小旅行なんて生活からはすっかり陰も形もなくなりましたが、最近は自分自身への投資に意識を持っていってます。
それが8月から始めたジム。平日は無理なので来るのは土日祝日のみですが、いろんなものを発散すべく3時間近く頑張ったりもします。
疲れに強い体を作るのも理由の一つですが、ドイツ本社のCEOや彼率いる社員が来日したり、今後は自分が海外へ出張に行くこともあるのでやはり引き締まった体を作って見た目を磨かないと、と思い始めたわけです。
人間見た目じゃないなんて聞きますけど、国際化が進む今日はそんなこと言ってられないですよね。
体は一つしか無いんだから、ケアしないとね :)

Moving Days and Nights ステキな、長い夜

On 3rd, Wednesday, we had an important and huge party after work with our clients and Prince Fushimi (the imperial family of Japan) and it was an incredible experience. 
It is because the restaurant is a few minute-walk away from our office it helped us organize the group of the clients and carry on the party.
This time, again, I participated in this party as an interpreter with another coworker of mine. 
Since one week the Swedish vice president, stationed in Singapore at the moment, has been working with us in Tokyo, there needed one more interpreter besides me as we have an executive director from Bulgaria. 
I was relieved to hear that she, my coworker, is also attending it.

The man, who you can hardly have a chance to come close to and talk to, Prince Fushimi was such a lovely person with humor and I had a positive shock. 
Wish I could've had more time to talk to him. I will get to see him again in November.
Although I've taken so many photos of him and our clients at the night and wish to share some of them here, I'm not allowed unfortunately. I'm sorry. 

The party was closed as Prince Fushimi had to leave around 9pm and as I expected, wanted it not to happen at the same time, we headed to Karaoke. VIP room.
I wanted to go back home straight for it needs 2 hour-train ride but it apparently didn't allow me to go. 
1. I'm a newcomer. 
2. Now I'm the only interpreter as she had to go back to the office and get stuff done. 
3. Unluckily I still had some time to stay. 
4. Karaoke is just right there. 

My president said to me that he will reverse a hotel room nearby and I could stay there. 
Aaaaaalright. 
I had nothing. No undies, no makeup cleansing product, soap, skin lotions, cosmetics, and at all. 
Karaoke was fun but this wasn't the last part of the night for me. I had to go shopping to get all those items.
It was already 0:30am. I got some travel allowance and used it to pay for the stuff, taxi, and the hotel. 
I went to bed around 2:30am. My department leader told me that 10:00am is the office hour tomorrow for everyone.
And she? She came to 12:00pm. She lives only 20 min away by train from the office. 
Whatever…
Okay, this kind of night, no return home, should be experienced once, not anymore. And I did it and won't anymore. 
I take the last train. 
This whole week has passed again just like a blink. Like falling asleep for a minute and you realize that it's already weekend.
So so fast.

3日終業後に元皇族の伏見殿下も参加のパーティがあり、クライアントの人たちとも親しくなれて充実した一日になりました。
私はもう一人の女性社員と一緒に通訳として参加させてもらいました。六本木のオフィスから歩いて行けるレストランだったので皆さんを連れて誘導し、スムーズに夕食に運べました。
この一週間、シンガポール局からスウェーデン人の副社長が来日しており私たちの六本木社に勤務しているブルガリア人の役員と二人なので通訳は二人いた方がいいでしょうってことで私も彼女と二人。安心安心。
人生でなかなかお近づきになれない皇族家の方、伏見殿下はユーモアたっぷりでポジティブショックを受けました。
やー、もっともっと色んな話を聞きたかった。
伏見殿下の写真や楽しい雰囲気の写真もたくさんあるのですが残念ながらここでは載せてはいけませんのでごめんなさい。
殿下がお帰りになるということで9時頃にはお開きになったのですが、予感的中、カラオケです。VIPルーム。
私は早く帰りたかった(2時間もかかるので)んですが、社長に「ホテル取るから泊まっていきなよ」ってなり残りました。
下着も化粧品類もなーーーんにも持ってなかったので、夜中のドンキへ。もらった出張手当からいろいろ払って、足りなくて赤字っていうオチ。トホホ。。
まぁ、一回くらいいいかということで自分の中で割り切りました。次回からは終電で帰らせてもらいます。
今週も瞬く間に過ぎていきました。ほんと、一瞬うたた寝したみたいな感覚で気づくとまた週末。

2 Days of Summer Vacation 2日間の夏休み

On 20th. and 21st. Aug., I went on Summer vacation to Shizuoka prefecture with my mom and sister. 
In the morning of 20th we were headed to Atami city which is located in the eastern end of Shizuoka and adjacent to Kanagawa prefecture. 
At 10am we arrived in Atami and went straight to the beach. We got to park the car in the garage, not in the outside parking space, so that the car room didn't turn a sauna. 
I needed to put many layers of sunblock on my skin as I've been trying not to get tanned and played in the waves while Haruka, my sister, was exposed directly to the sunlight. 
She always wants to look tanned. She listens to me warning the overexposure of UV but can't bring herself not to do it. Young lady! 
Only one thing that I didn't feel comfortable with at the beach was…… JELLY FISH. 
I never get used to the feeling of getting like a little electric shock when the tentacles of jelly fish touch your skin and you get red tiny dots in a row mostly on your legs..or body part where is soaked in the water. 
It looks like we shouldn't have choosen "beach days" after the mid August. 
But we had a big reason to be here on that day: they had a firework event in the evening. 

20日と21日、母と妹と三人で熱海に行って来ました。
20日の朝に熱海に向かい10時に着いたので旅館へのチェックインまで海で遊ぶことに。車を地下駐車場に置けたのでラッキー!
ギラギラの太陽の下で弾けましたー!
海には入るけど出来るだけ焼きたくなかったのでこまめにALLIEの日焼け止めを塗って遊泳。日焼け対策は万全だったけど、クラゲ刺され対策は詰めが甘かったです。。お盆を過ぎた後はやっぱり多いのね。
何となく予想はしていたけど、どうもあの軽い電流が流れたようなピリピリッと来る感覚は慣れません。というか不快!笑
浜辺から少し離れて足もつかないところまで泳げば刺されませんでしたが、次回はもう少し早い時期に来ようと痛感しました。
でもこの日を選んだ理由はちゃんとあるんです。それは海上花火。
一昨年、ドイツから一時帰省したときに見て感動した花火です。

地元が新潟なのに、近いから今度行けばいいや、と結局一度も訪れたことが無い長岡花火。これもいつか見に行かないと。
